Reed

Reed has been a very interesting dog to own, train, handle and compete with. She won many various awards in Obedience, is a Best of Breed winner and placed in the Veterans Group. Reed achieved all but 3 of her titles before she was 30 months old! She has been a Top 10 Obedience competitor and won the CH Eastern Waters Betsy Ross CD trophy donated to the American Chesapeake Club by Betsy and Rupe Humer. She earned her Utility title with back to back 1st places at Livonia Kennel Club! Earning her UD with these 1st placements has never been accomplished by any Chesapeake in the history of the breed that I am aware of.

Her enthusiastic competitive nature has awarded her High Scoring Chesapeake at 8 Supported entries in Michigan, Ohio & Canada (Boosters and Specialties) and placements at Supported and Specialties. Finished her Canadian Obedience competition by as the Number 3 Obedience Chesapeake in 2000! Reed has garnered some UDX points and had been invited to the National Obedience Invitational.

Reed finished her Championship going Best of Winners 4 point major the day after the National Specialty in Kentucky. She earned her Canadian Championship with Best of Winners Canadian Specialty Booster going Best of Breed over 2 top Specials.

Reed earned her final Senior Hunt pass with nearly a perfect score. Reed has also won and placed in several Hunting classes at Supported entries & Specialties.

Reed produced ACC National Specialty & Supported entry (MI-2003) Winners Bitch. She produced multiple specialty, supported entry BB, BOS, WD, WB, class winners and placements, NSS JAM, Junior & Senior Hunters, Canadian Champion, Obedience titled dogs and homebred, breeder, owner and handled number 2 Chesapeake in 2009!

She produced Junior Hunters, Senior Hunter, obedience competitors, NSS JAM, NSS Winners, NSS class placements, Canadian NSS Winners and class placements, all-around hunting dogs, Am*/Can Champions, GCH, therapy and companions. Bred to phenomenal sire CBISS AM/CAN CH Redlion's Short Fuse WD, Reed produced Northwyns first home-bred Grand Champion- GCH*/CAN CH Northwyns Whispering Reflection JH. Northwyn also breeder to 2003 ACC NSS & ACC 2003 Supported entry Winners Bitch.
